Wisdom tooth extraction/complication

My upper right wisdom tooth was extracted today. It was also impacted and wrapped around my maxillary bone or trochanter...?

This was a difficult extraction and I happened to lose quite a bit of bone...the maxillary...it came off with a lot of tissue, and it seems that a large piece of my soft upper pallet is missing as well.

The dentist shrugged it off with some antibiotics, Lortab and Ibuprofen, and told me it should be fine.

I am wondering how the tooth that was next to the now missing wisdom tooth is going to stay attached, how my upper pallet is going to heal, how I am going to eat, and if I need a bone graft...?

I can feel exposed bone where my maxillary used to be, the right side of my throat is sore. The soreness is feels like an ear infection (if that makes any sense).

Please help!
