Ok, I am 14, I have had little white spots on my penis for about a year now and I have not got a clue what they are. I have been searching for months but cannot get a conclusion, can somebody help?
They seem to be in the skin, because when I move my skin about they strech and move. On my foreskin, they raise about 1-2mm off the skin, about the size of the end of a needle.
I also have a little bit of a lump on the left hand side of my penis, also I am loosing quite alot of hair.
Help please, I am really worried.

  • The whitish areas are known as pearly papules, or Fordyce granules, are entirely normal and are composed of sebaceous fluid. They can become enflamed if attempts are made to express the contents by pressing or squeezing them. The lump is a bit more difficult to determine since your description sounds as though it is actually on the penis itself. Inquinal lymph nodes, by contrast, are located by the pubis bone on either side of the penis and can become enlarged for a multitude of reasons, most generally a localized infection. The internet is one of the worst mediums for attempting to gain diagnosis of medical problems and my suggestion is that you make an appointment to be evaluated by your family doctor to determine the nature of the lump. The white papules are, again, not associated with disease or a disorder of any type. Best regards, J Cottle, MD
