I have a 15 year old who says that sometimes she start to fall over when she ran (but not all the time) now its when she sitting in a chair or stands up from a chair ect or some times when she is sitting but again its not all the time after about 2-3 minutes she is ok i thought it was nervous at first i told the doctor about 4 years ago he said she will grow out of it but i am concerned as when she was 6 she fell of her bike and had a fit but the doctor said she was all right after it she loves pe but she will do ne thing to get out of it just in case it happens

  • Hi,You need to tell the doctor again. 4 years is a long time. Also, keep a diary of each time you notice that she falls, and exactly what time, and how long the problem lasts. Bring that with you to the doctor.Maybe it is just blood pressure, but maybe she is having some kind of other problem that the doctor should check for.Best,Shula

  • You need to see a different doc - the one you went to doesn't sound like he/she was helpful at all:( When you say she "falls over" do you mean she passes out or loses consciousness? Is it like a fainting spell? Is it more like an epileptic reaction? Please describe in more detail. Does your daughter skip meals, or does she eat regularly? Could be low blood sugar, anemia, nutritional deficiency, or could be neurological. I agree she should see a doctor, and perhaps try a naturopath as well - they have a much better understanding of nutritional deficiencies in my opinion. Best wishesDOM
