Wierd Pain

Ok so nothing life threatening but a bit confusing...

Every now and again, like maybe once every 6 months, I get sudden and quite severe pain in what I think is both my kidneys... i.e. my back and side both sides and round to the front. It only last a few minutes and tends to make me feel like want to bear down - the best way to describe would be like tense my stomach as if giving birth. I know that must sound funny!
I dont need the toilet so its not constipation and I have no UTI. It's happened today and with it my tongue and neck tingled too and I got a little breathless (to be expected i guess) - I thought that may be down to anxiety due to sudden pain.
I thought it was maybe kidney stones but wondered why it was in both sides?

Any suggestions? Im not going to my doctor as I dont think its seriuops enough and dont want to be made to feel like im wasting time!

Cheers guys...
