This has been happening a lot lately. I get those extra/swollen taste buds, that's common I guess, but I also get what seems to be patches of skin on the sides of my tongue. The white patches do feel sensitive to touch just the same as the swollen taste buds do. It's not like this is a life or death thing, they are just annoying.
