sorry I hope I got someones attention. I can not take this anymore. It has been a week now since I have had a constant pressure in my head on my temples and parts of my face. I had a ct scan done but only showed slight thickining of mucas in the sinuses. I have been on antibiotics just in case this was the problem. Still nothing has changed. Nothing seems to release the pressure. I did go to the ER one night and they gave me Toradol and that helped for about a day and it returned. I can not take it anymore.... I feel like I am going to die and this is the end of my life... what else can this be to last this long? the ct would have shown an anyrusm , so I do not think it is that.

  • Sounds like a severe tension headache or abnormal migraine. I had them for years. Is this the first time it's happened? The thing that finally worked for me was to take Fiorinal #3 for several days. Good luck!

  • Don't know if this will help. Someone told me to take guaifanessen. It is in cough syrup and I think in Mucinex. It thins mucous and might help with the pressure if it can drain.I just read about parasites in the sinuses. Crazy as it sounds, candida and other things can live in there. I read oil of oregano swabbed up the nose, will help. Oil of Oregano is the "new" natural antibiotic. I also read perioxide is useful, too and in ear infections.Look, go see an opthamologist, too. A very good one, perhaps at a teaching hospital. Sometimes, they can see things through the eye, literally. Like if your optic nerve is inflammed, etc.If It IS a migrain, cut out splenda, and all other artificial sweetners plus MSG. These are excitotoxins. I cut down on these and have less occular migraines. Are you having any other symptoms?I hope something helps you....

  • migrainesTMJpressure in temples and parts of facethickening of mucosa in sinuses(sinus infection)feeling of impending death all symptoms of CFS look into it. Many here are having symptoms. Most people only present with a few symptoms because we dwell on the ones that bother us most. Upon further examination, many are finding that in fact, they have many more symptoms than they originally thoughtIt affects every person differently even though it is the same diseaseIt is confusing to patients and doctorsFind a local doc who does NAET or Bioset therapyIt will helpAlso, diet is a big factor. Eat raw foods whenever possible. When we cook our foods, we kill the enzymes that are there to aid in digestion of foods and absorption of nutrients.Take a multivitamin and look into herbs, supplements and minerals to help boost immune system

  • Dxd, please read thread titled "The truth about CFS/ME". There is a post there containing a lot of information on symptoms. I have CFS and until I found the information regarding it, there were symptoms I was having that I didn't even know were really symptoms. For example, excessive gas and sneezing. I could not figure out how the two could even be considered to be symptoms of the same disease. Now, I know that they are.Stick around...mommy cat:)

  • I really don't think everyone with unexplained symptoms has CFS and simply doesn't know it, as members of the boards often seem to suggest along with unliekly candidates such as enviromental toxins and such. Naturopathic medicine may sound appealing becuase it is "safe and natural" but frankly given this case I would give common migraine treatments a try, such as ibuprofen (200-600mg as needed) and/or Imitrex (50 mg at a time with a max of 200mg in a day) before embarking on more experimental therapies.Teddy

  • do your ears, teeth or jaw hurt also? Or you feel like you get stabbing pains in your face. If so it could be TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA. It took almost 6 years for a doctor to diagnose this for me. The neurologist I saw found it. good luck

  • nothing like CFS, (I say that cause I've have CFS myself).. i dont understand why the other poster could even think that as CFS has a precise diagnositic criteria which you certainly wouldnt meet with that. Obviously some here are completely unaware of the proper diagnosis for that illness. I wish I had a suggestion to give you.

  • CFS is a bogus diagnosis as is Fibromyalsia. BOGUS!! If you have been diagnosed with either of these, find a new doc and a real diagnosis. I have been diagnosed with Fibro and know that it is just dumb. All they do is check your symptoms and certain pressure points, no "real" test. CFS is the same idea. The doc. just checks symptoms and then lumps everyone into this stupid syndrome that isn't real. And people QUIT suggesting NAET to cure everything. It is the dumbest scam of all. Acupuncture is believeable, but NAET is a scam.

I have Hypothyroidism and was erroneously diagnosed with Fibro in 2000 by a Rheumatologist and then confirmed by an Endocrinologist and a Dermatologist. I had excessive gas and it's basically all gone now that I got on the correct therapeutic dose of thyroid medication. I am still healing from going for 3 years of severe under treated Hypothyroidism. Also I have been referred to a sleep disorders study by my new Endocrinologist because some of my symptoms overlap with sleep apnea. And I actually have physical abnormalities in my facial structure from birth which could cause my sleep apnea.I had many of the same symptoms of Fibro but it wasn't Fibro. A great book to read is called The Thyroid Solution. It's written by an Endocrinologist who does believe CFS and Fibro are real diseases/conditions. He also believes that some people have been diagnosed with the either one or both of those conditions who have Hypo or Hyper T. And he believes some people can have all three or a combination of diseases.I am not one of those people. All my symptoms are either gone or going away on the correct dose of thyroid medication and the rest are sleep apnea related.

I had excessive gas and it's basically all gone now that I got on the correct therapeutic dose of thyroid medication. I am still healing from going for 3 years of severe under treated Hypothyroidism. And during the last 6 months, in spite of my diagnosis of Hypothyroidism, I've had two different doctors tried to diagnosis me with something else. The reason was solely because of being under treated for Hypothyroidsm. Now I was having exacerbations which were quite serious including hypertension, post-menopausal bleeding, cardiomyopathy, and heart block. And he believes some people can have all three or a combination of diseases.I am not one of those people. All my symptoms are either gone or going away on the correct dose of thyroid medication and the rest are sleep apnea related. Also if you treat someone for CFS and they have some other serious illness you could contribute to their worsening symptoms and even death rather than help them. Case in point, I got treated for EBV in 1977 when I had Hypothyroidism. I got treated for Mono in 1978 when I in fact I had Hypothyroidism. I got treated for environmental illness in 1985 when in fact I had Hypothyroidism. Since my real disease never got treated it worsened. And again in 2000 the same thing happened, being diagnosed with Fibro when I had Hypothyroidism. And my symptoms worsened until when I got diagnosed and had high blood pressure. All because some doctors thought I had something other than Hypothyroidism and my test results were not "high" to prove I had it. With Hashimoto's many times the person doesn't have "normal" blood test results which are clearly indicative of the disease. For another disease I was told it was a migraine when in fact it was Glaucoma and I almost lost my eye sight. A friend of mine suggested it might be CFS or EI. I'm glad I didn't listen to anyone but myself. I saved my own eye sight.Sometimes CFS is not CFS. I read your post. And many of those symptoms are also those of thyroid disease. And some of those are symptoms of sleep apnea which btw is a symptom of Hypothyroidism.

  • not awful sure what excessive gas has to do with correct thyroid medication, but OKI hope you find your answers.Has Lyme been ruled out?...mommy cat:)mommy cat,I found my answers! Your thyroid gland effects every organ in your body including your skin, because it controls your metabolism! It causes IBS in some people and that corrects with proper medication. Here's a website which will show you that, though technical, it is thorough.http://www.thyroidmanager.org/I was erroneously diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 1999 when in fact it was Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, that's the type of Hypothyroidism I have. It's the most common type.Like I said in my second post on this, not treating thyroid disease (or some other serious illness/disease) can cause serious complications. Sometimes what looks like CFS or Lyme Disease or Fibro or EI or ? is not.

  • NAET is a scam, NAET is a scam, how much does it cost? How often do you have to go back? I did it. It was ridiculous and cimnamon tea did a better job of curing me than anything the NAET specialist could recommend. I get a feeling that this whole forum was started to promote NAET. The only reason i come back is to warn people of the NAET scam!!
