I visited my GP this last week due to having some quite frightening symptons for the past few months that include:
what feels like flickering in my brain (vision flickers and also tingly *****s in both my hands and feet when it happens)
bed wetting
sleep paralysisThe flickering (sorry - this is the only way I can describe it) happens on average about once every five minutes... so quite a lot during any one day. Although the episodes are short lived (2-5 seconds each time) and don't cause me any pain of any sort, they are really quite uncomfortable and upsetting... to the point where I am beginning to feel really down about it. :(

My GP is referring me to a neurologist which is great but I was wondering if, in the meantime, any body else has experienced this or knows what it might be. My GP suggested being tested for epilepsy. My sister has epilepsy and has seizures often. I on the other hand have NEVER had a seizure so how could this be epilepsy?

Any help would be so gladly appreciated. :o
