Hi,

I think I injured my neck 3 months ago.
Since then my whole body seems to be failing me.
My facial muscles seem to be "drooping" in my skin. My face has become asymmetrical and awkward. It also feels numb.
My body muscles also feel droopy, limp, as if they're shrinking.

My eyes seem to be deeper set.

I haven't had a period since then also. Facial hair is showing.

I feel like my whole body is giving up on me, almost like I'm dying.

Could this be nerve or spinal damage?

What is wrong? Help!

I'm not sure if this would be caused by an injured neck. the facial hair and loss of menstration would be more likely caused by hormonal reasons. I was just trying to find some information online if there's any relation between spinal cord injury and the level of hormones in the body.I found a lot of various articles but couldn't seem anything directly related to increase/decrease of testosterone or estrogen. i'm not sure about the relaxed facial muscles and suken eyes. i would think that's related because it would be the nerves in your face causing this appearance?maybe see your doctor about these issues.even if the menstration isn't related to your injury, you should still ask about that as it may be a sign of another health issue. best of luck. :)

I've been seeing some doctors. The facial issue, with not much result. My hormone test is just being processed. I feel terrible and hope I can resolve at least some of this to get back to semi-normal. Good luck with your problems!

Help!If you got your neck injured then there is a possibility that you have a damaged nerve. Have you been to a doctor when the injury happened? You should really go and see a specialist about this.

Might sound like a crazy question, but did you have any vaccines around the time you started having problems?

Some people dont believe in what a difference they can make but my kids have been going since they were born and i have going since being pregnant with my second child and when my daughter was born she had real bad colic and by her second chiropractic visit she was fine. I also used to get really bad migraines and I dont get them anymore at all.

  • it sure sounds like nerve damage to me sorry to say. And if a nerve gets damaged bad enough, the muscle that it controls starts dieing. Ive had a problem in my back with my siatic nerve. Its a nerve which goes down both legs and backbone disc problems have caused part of this nerve to die down both of my legs so although i am not completely disabled thank God, I still have some permanent numbness going down both legs where it causes me to walk flatfooted even though i am not flatfooted. May I ask whether your doctor has ordered an MRI for you? It should show nerve damage if there is any. It certainly showed mine. Goodluck and let me know...
