My 10 year old son has come to me and told me that his tounge hurts. He has a lump the size of a marble in the front part of his tounge, and now he is saying that it hurts to swallow. Please can someone give me some idea of what I am dealing with?

  • Hi,I seem to remember many years ago a friend at school had something like you describe and it turned out to be a cyst, it was treated and he was fine. The important thing is for a Doctor to take a look, they will know what they are looking for. Please don't panic and think the worse, but don't leave it in case it needs treating.Ian
