Well, I've been having these symptoms for the last umm, almost 10 weeks now and am wondering if anyone has any thoughts.
They have changed alot over the course of my illness and currently include:
-Swollen glands in the neck(and under the chin on the right side)
They never reall hurt, just swollen and sometimes feel swollen.

-Redness of the throat and tonsils. Neither of these hurt either, its just the skin around the outside of the tonsils is usually a red or deep pink. the tonsils themselves (well on the right side) hasa small whitish lump that doesn't hurt, I can just feel it occasionally when swallowing.

-Headaches. Periodically throuht the day I get really minor headaches that last for under 5 seconds.

-Dizziness. I just feel a bit 'out of it'. But occasionally get a 'little' disoriented if I've been on the computer for 3-4 straight hours.

-Faint stomach discomfort. Nothing really bad, just feels like very minor gas after eating.

Oh, and since being sick, my appetite has gone up (I don't eat much more, I just get hungry alot more often).

And my neck and back sometimes get a bit sore.

  • I'm not sure, but this sounds a bit like mono. I'd get checked out by a doctor. You seem to be fighting some kind of infection.

  • Though this may sound flippant, it isn't. What you have is terminal. There is no cure. You have 'human life'. All of these minor occurances are normal parts of being alive. During the course of a day, your body reacts to allergens, viruses and bacteria, hormonal, chemical and emotional changes. All of the 'symptoms' you list are well within the normal working parameters of human biology. The most likely actual problem you've been afflicted with is anxiety. Try to distract yourself. Don't focus so much on every little change in your physiology. Get off the computer and go for a walk. Good luck. ~D
