I have always had small lumpy thyroid nodes around my neck. however there is one lump or mass under my jaw neck area that seems to have slowly and gradually gotten larger over the period of maybe a year or more. nothing extremely quickly, just gradual.
It is under the left sid of my jaw above my neck. it takes up the whole of left side. It is not painful and doesnt hurt in any way. I have no other symptoms and am otherwise healthy. It is not hard, maybe the hardness or consistancy of muscle tissue or something similar to that. It is smooth and Even. not lumpy. It does move when i push my tongue down on the bottom of my mouth, or swallow it will portrude out even more visibilly. but otherwise i cant tell if it moves or not because of the size.
I am a caucasian male, age 19, appx. 150lbs and 6ft.
could someone let me know what this is? from my research the best i can deduct is maybe a salivary gland tumor?? or a swollen thyroid?? i am going in circles....so does anyone have a definitive answer?
