I suffer all the symptoms of cushings diseas. So the endo ordered a blood test, but it came back with low cortisol not high.
I read that low cortisol causes weight loss, but i have weight gain.

  • Low cortisol such as Addison's disease can cause weight loss but it didnt sound like you got an Addisons diagnoses so I wouldnt expect your low cortisol to give weight loss. (im prone to obesity thou my cortisol is low). Cushing disease has many different symptoms and as you havent said exactly which of them you have hard for me or anyone else to say what you could have. Please share your symptoms if you want to know some things which fit your symptoms. Right now several things come to my mind but I need more info to know if it may be them or not.

  • My symtoms are weight gain, hairy chin, recurrent boil and fungal infections. Achy joints especially round the ribs. been diagnosed with costochondritis and osteoarthiritis.I also suffer from really heavy periods with black clots.Have also been diagnosed with anxiety, ocd and social phobia.even on a diet i can't loose weight.
