Hi. About six weeks ago I developed a rash which began on my stomach. Each spot last around 3 weeks or more. They start off red and then begin to go purple (can send photo). There was also a spot in my scalp which had sticky fluid coming out. The fluid is slightly yellow and sometimes blood comes as well. I also noticed a hard lump in my head (which does not move) and to this day is still there and has grown downwards and to the side. I get pain in my joints but this could be explained by the fact I wear high-heels and use computers way too much. A recent blood test revealed that my red blood cell count was low and that the shapes of some of them were abnormal (it's not sickle-cell). I rarely get my periods (twice a year since 13) and they aren't heavy. I am 17 years old. I have lost 2kgs. I'm having hair loss. Two months prior (over three months ago I was in India).

I have some older symptoms that I always put to stress and the fact that I'm an asthmatic child. For about a year I have been often getting stomach aches and headaches and I always feel tired. I would also get panic attacks, which have worsened. I am sensitive to the cold. I also bruise like a peach. I have never missed so much school. I am no longer able to do things the way I used to. My hans are weaker and I my drawing/writing skills have worsened!

I am so worried. What is wrong with me?

  • Look up thrombocytopenic purpura. Does this look like your rash?
