From February until April of this year, had black out spells several times a week. Also suffered from severe fatigue and headaches and muscle aches and pains. Went through all tests -no heart problems and brain is fine ( no epilepsy). I started taking Topamax in April and have not had a black out spell since then. Yet the severe fatigue and aches and pains have continued. I have also been having chronic urinary tract infections and one kidney stone (last month), mouth sores, swollen lymph nodes, anxiety, insomnia, swelling in my hands and sometimes my ankles and feet, and chills and high blood pressure. My throat gets sore from time to time. It is all I can do to make it through the day at work and all I do on the weekends is sleep. I am really struggling here and would love some ideas!!

  • Were your muscle aches and pains associated with joint pain? Almost every symptom that's listed can be attributed to Fibromyalgia. It's more common in women than men, and usually presents itself in the 20's or 30's. Fibro is also something that is commonly misdiagnosed, since symptoms mimic those of other illnesses. It takes a process of elimination to come to a proper diagnosis. Definitely talk with your Dr. about Fibro. It's more common than most people think. For the chronic UTI's, lay off sodas and coffee, and drink cranberry juice and green tea. Even dill pickle juice works wonders! The pickle juice is just a combination of water and vinegar, and cleans out the urinary tract. If you can't stomach cranberry juice (I know I can't!) then get a raspberry herbal tea.
