I posted about having unbrearable neck pain for 6 years, numbness in my fingers and toes since about april 2006, painful blisters on my face and hands 2 times since about april 2006, muscle weakness, headaches and eye pain when looking at bright lights. The doc thinks I am just crazy or something. I am a little bit scared I might be in real trouble I woke up today and I have been coughing up pink and red spit ever since, I have had this happen before in the past but only when I have had strep throat. I do not have sore throat or any throat or mouth pain or injuries. I don't know where the blood is coming from but I had horrible nightmares and woke up sweating. Now I am so tired I need to go back to bed and have more nightmares but I hope someone has ideas this time. Thanks.

  • Strange...... I guess Lyme disease is a possibility, although it normally comes with loads of other symptoms too. I would ask the doctor to do some bloodwork, you may have a chronic infection. If nothing is found then an MRI scan of your neck may not be a bad idea. Good Luck

  • You could have several things going on. The blisters remind me of shingles--a bad case with it going down the nerves in both your arms/legs (if it is one sided)...if it is on both sides, then probably not shingles...the blisters need to be scraped and analyzed. It could be herpes 1 that is throughout your system, which is rare, instead of localized in your trigeminal area...I would run all the herpes blood tests--dozens different types create their own distructive forces...chronic Epstein-Barr Virus is another member of the herpes family...
