  • Not really, it started when i had a boil on my backside, i was sweating, the doctor said that fever happens when there's an infection. the weird thing was that after i took antibiotics and that boil disappeared, i keep on having hot flashes, or heat waves running through my body, that was when i was 15 years old. Yes i do use a cell phone, but i don't use it to call, usually i just use it to text only, thanks for the info

  • This sounds very like a thyroid problem.Palmar erythema (red palms), your hot flashes and your heat insensitivity could all be related to an over-active thyroid. There are many other symptoms too, you should check these carefully - try to be objective when you think about them, it's very easy to say yes to having these symptoms even when you have only had them once or twice.1. Change in bowel habit - frequent diarrhoea2. Weight loss despite eating normally/eating more than normal3. Tremor (shaking) in your hands when you hold them out in front of you (put a piece of paper on them to see clearly)4. Feeling irritable/short tempered 5. Rapid pulse (>90-100)6. Irregular pulse 7. Thin, brittle hair8. A lump in your neck (around your voice box)Check these out and post back.

  • I agree, i suspect that it's a thyroid problem, but then again, there is no 1. A lump in your neck (around your voice box) I function perfectly well, it's just that i feel hot all the time,i checked with people around me, and when they feel cold, for example at 23 degree celsius , i'm the only one who's still sweating like crazy while not doing any rigorous activity. i'm not obese, i'm thin, usually thin people get cold faster. i can't sleep without the aircon, and i feel my temperature rising after eating my meals, no one else i know has this sort of weird problem. If there is no aircon, then i will not be able to sleep. thanks for replying

  • Any aches and pains? Are you feeling excessively tired? Found this about hot flashes from the Mayo clinic:"Like women, men may also experience hot-flash-like symptoms due to:Tumor of the hypothalamus or pituitary glandCertain infections, such as tuberculosis or HIVReaction to monosodium glutamate (MSG), a food additiveReaction to certain medications, such as nifedipine (Procardia, Adalat), niacin, and calcitonin (Calcimar, Miacalcin, others)Hot flashes in a man should be evaluated by a doctor. A blood test can help determine if testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism) is the cause of hot flashes. If the cause of hot flashes can be determined, treatment typically is directed at the underlying cause, such as testosterone replacement or switching medications. If treatment of the underlying cause is not possible, then treatment is directed at reducing the symptoms of hot flashes."Guess you could go see your doctor?

  • No aches nor pains anywhere, it's like i'm just feeling hot and sweat very very easily. Everything's fine except my thermoreceptors. Yes, i'd see a doctor soon i guess, just that i've seen some and it didn't work. I doubt that i have tumor or HIV, cos if i have that, i'd be dead by now. thanks very much for the info.
