A few weeks ago I started feeling a strange sensation on the top of my head, more toward the left side, like someone took a drop of water and dropped it onto my scalp. It only lasts for a second and it does not hurt. I have had this for about 2 weeks now and noticed it happens roughly once per hour. There is no pain, headaches, blurred vision, loss of motor skills, nausea, etc associated with this. A friend of mine told me he had the exact same symptoms years ago and was told this was an ear infection and was treated and symptoms were resolved. I do not have ear aches however.
I went to the doctors telling them this and they said my ears had so much wax they could not view to see if i had an ear infection. They removed all of the excess wax and said my ears were a little red but it did not look like they were infected. The CNP told me after the wax removal the symptoms should go away, and if not, to call her back for a CAT Scan to rule everything out. That evening I did not have the symptoms and they did not start again until the next morning when I returned to work. I am under a great deal of stress in my new job, so I am wondering if something stress related could trigger these episodes.
I am just wondering if anyone out there has heard of this or experienced this or knows what it could be. I am fearing the worst but have not had any symptoms related to tumors.
