I have persistant vaginal itching. I have been to 3 OBGYN and have been tested for STD, yeast and bact. infection and all are negative. and they can not give me diagnosis.
Any suggestions?

  • I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I've had basically the same thing for almost 10 years now and docs seem in disbelief that someone would suffer that long and not have a break down. The ONLY thing that seemed to help me was when they tried the steroid cream to put down there. I couldn't used it all the time, and definitely not when I had caused fissures from scratching so much in my sleep. The cream plus being on birth control helped. I still have it 60% of the time, but not as severe as it was. I started noting that it became worse around my period (hormone fluctuations) so that's why I stay on Depo-provera. Hope this gives you a bit of hope and know that you are NOT crazy and not alone! I still go to any doc I can find to try to find the cause of this...10 years is enough.

  • It could be something like a soap allergy; try a natural product. You might want to ask for a blood test for herpes 2 to rule it out.

  • It is Lichen Simplex or Lichen Sclerosis...a biopsy can tell for sure! Good Luck, I can commiserate!
