About 2 weeks ago my sister started vommiting every 15-30 minutes. Her first trip to the doctor he sent her home saying it was "all in her head" 2 days later she spent 11 hours in the emergency room because it had not stopped. They gave her 4 IV bags and some medication. She slowed down to vommiting every few hours for awhile but is now back to every 30 minutes to an hour. Almost every test they can think of has been run and everything comes back negative. The problem is we cannot find a doctor who cares enough to take the time to find out the problem, or even treat the symtoms.

We have also found out through friends about 3 other women in our area that are displaying to same symptoms. If anyone has any experiance with this and can offer some advice we would greatly appreciate it.

  • It is quite a concern if she is continuing to vomit after a couple of weeks. Is there any connection between these women with the same symptoms (i.e. do they work or eat at the same place)? It could well be food poisoning of some sort. She has to find a different doctor. The temptation for me would be to go and vomit outside his or her surgery to see if that prompted any action. It is difficult to comment though without knowing anything about her and which tests have been carried out.

  • Is vomiting the only symptom? It could be food poisoning. Such as salmonella. That seems to be a scare right now. You should try to find out how all the women relate. If they go somewhere the same or eat the same stuff and if they all got sick around the same time. With the salmonella peanut-butter thing happening right now, that is what I would do first. Check the peanut-butter. I believe it is Peter Pan and Great Value. I think the # on the container starts with 2111. Other than that, I would find new doctors. Or press them until they do something about it. I agree with Kenn. You should do something to prompt there attention! Hope she gets better soon. Best of luck, Christi.
