Hello everyone, need a little help.

Well to put it bluntly i hate my left arm and want it removed, everytime i look at it it disgusts me and i pray i get into some sort of accident that rips if from my body.

I told my girlfriend about this and she got really worried and said to me theres a medical condition for it.

So i would like to know whats wrong with me if there is such a condition its just the sight of my arm makes me feel physically sick and sometimes ive had urges to try and remove it myself.

thanks alot

  • This is a real condition and I have heard of people going to disbarred doctors to get the offending limbs removed. This is very dangerous and they usually end up dying from infections. I am sure there are professional people who can help you like your arm again. Dont cut it, try and think of all the times it has been useful to you.

  • You need to go to a Psychiatrist. This is either Apotemnophilia or Body integrity identity disorder. These are real disorders

  • yes there is a real condition in which people hate a body part for no real reason at all. (it was an eposide theme on one of the medical tv programs/soapies one time.. "All Saints" or something i saw it on) i've no idea how this condition is treated but maybe a psychologist could help you like your arm more???
