i am very concerned and i kno without a direct examination you cannot tell me if it is possble or not. Can you tell me the likely hood tho?. For sometime ive had white patches that never grew.. and still havent..but jus recently another one has popped up. let me explain.. about 2004 summer i came back from the beach and noticed 2 white spots on my back one is a complete circle and use 2 itch and seemed like it had a bite mark in the middle cause i picked off a scab thing.. before that probably about my 7th or 8th grade year.. i had a accident with a zipper which ended up pullin a piece of my penis skin off and fromt hene on it seems i can some times squeeze puss out of it..i never thought there was a disease that could turn some1 pale.. and jus recently as of feburary had had a ingrown hair pimple that popped and a few days later the area around it turned white..i jus want to know if it is vitiligo i am suffering from..none of the patches have ever grown..could it be post inflammatory hypopigmentation on my genitals? and the marks on my back sun spots?

  • Hi,I really don't know...too many possibilities. But I can tell you that this website has a LONG list of things that could be causing it. See:http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/hypopigmentation.htmBest,Shula

  • Yes it may be as Vitiligo can be caused due to sunburn and skin trauma(damage of skin tissues due to any injury), because it can impair the function of melanocytes(pigment cells) that give color to skin.Check out the other symptoms for this skin conditionhttp://www.naturalvitiligotreatment.com/vitiligo-symptoms.html
