I've recently started seeing ghost images. At 1st it was at a distance maybe on a bright day a roof antena would have a faint twin when I covered one eye. But over the last few weeks it seemed to get worse. Saturday I looked in the mirror and noticed corectopia that is both my pupils were off centre and shifted in and up. I've had no head trauma or anything similar recently. I'm positive this is something new not some old querk of my body I just noticed.

I went to a&e last night as that's what the nhs website said to do but they just told me to see an optician. I saw one today. They told me I had astigmatism but didn't seem to believe me when I told them it was new. (was my 1st eye exam in years) They checked my pupils with a little light to see if the reflection was from the centre and it was but that doesn't make sense to me as looking in a mirror the pupils definitely seem displaced. Perhaps if the lens behind it shifted to it could change the reflection point in line with it? She noted my eyes we abnormally dry and suggested eye drops, I've been feeling a lot of eye irritation recently. One other possibly relevant thing my blood sugar level was measured at 9 which I'm told is a little high. I'll get to speak to my gp about it as soon as possible but in the past he's not been so helpful. Does any one have any ideas?

  • I'm mostly posting this to bump the thread but I have noticed a new symptom. At night around bright lights, especially green traffic lights there seems to be more than one ghost image now. At least there was last night. Some times it seemed like there were 5 or more.
