I am trying to figure out what is going on with my husband. We thought he had the flu but they said it was just a virus going around. His symptoms are high fever(102.7), snezzing, coughing, watery eyes, body aches, but what has thrown me off is his nose and cheek area surrounding has doubled..maybe even tripled in size and if you look inside his nose it is completly incrusted. I can not even see into his nose because of this and although his fever has subsiced his nose is still swelling. I don't know what to think, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • It sounds like an infection. Please see a doctor.

  • It sounds most like an infection (the condition you're describing is facial edema) but if the swelling persisted beyond the other symptoms, have his thyroid levels and other hormone levels checked.
