Very small lump

A few weeks ago, I noticed what seemed to be a swollen bug bite in my groin area. It's not near my vagina, it's right where my thigh connects to the area above my vagina. The swelling went away by the next day (I noticed it at night), but then there were two very small lumps underneath the skin and the surface was a dark red/purply color. The lumps do not hurt and I have no other unusual symptoms. The skin is completely smooth other than the lumps that are underneath it. Please help!

  • Get tested for STDs. It sounds like Herpes, I am sorry to say. I really hope that I am wrong, but go get tested!

  • It also sounds like it could be a cyst. I had one around that area a few yrs. agoe (had it lanced off). They come & go and aren't painfull until they get bigger.

  • I'm confused. Is it on the bikini line? Does it itch? Chiggers or a spider bite?. If not, you have a lot of lymph nodes in that area. Do you have a fever or anything like that. Sometimes a hair follicle becomes infected and turns into a furuncle. But that would hurt, I guess. Try a warm, moist compress a couple times a day and see what happens.
