i have had my son at the dr 5 times in the last 13 days.
He started with fever, vomitting. Then started with diarehha.
Four days after the symptoms began he was diagnosised with an ear infection and intestinal virus. On day six, he was still having low-grade fever and diarehha. Day eight, he was severely deyhrated, coughing, listless, spiking a high fever and diagnosed with strep (probiotic stopped diarehha). We changed antibiotics. Day 10, he started having sweats, shakes, still running a fever, cough, nasal drainage. Day 11, changed his antibiotic back to amoxicillan, added hydocodone and PCM. Day 12, no change. They have ruled out salmonella and e.coli.
Today begins day 13. i do not know what to do for my son. We are trying to keep him as hydrated as possible, and as comfortable as we can. But his condition doesn't seem to be improving.
