I have thyroid problems, and the last time I went to my endo, he tested me for PCOS. Well I do not have cysts, and my testosterone, glucose and cortisol levels were all fine. But my c-peptide and insulin levels were high. So they had me go and do a dexamethasone suppression test. (take a pill night before blood work) I had my cortisol and ACTH levels tested again and also my IGF-1 level. I was only told so far, that my suppresion test came back abnormal, but they said that was good. So my question is: What are they testing, or looking, for? I am so confused right now and somewhat scared. I do know that I had one or two nodules on my pituatry gland in September(had an mri) So don't really know if they are testing me for Cushing's or not. Any help is much appreciated.....
