Can anyone out there help?? I am very frustrated, 28 y/o was very healthy, about 5 years ago everything went down hill. It all started with VERY painful menstral periods, was diagnosed with endometriosis (runs in the family) after 3 surgeries and multiple medications including birth control and Lupron, I started bruising all over my body for no reason. I was diagnosed with Von Willebrand's, however, I also have high antithrobin levels, which has nothing to do with Von Willebrand's but nobody can answer me as to why. I get heavy nosebleeds to the point where it is pouring out of my mouth and nose, my Hematologist's solution is to increase my estrogen. However I still bleed like a suck pig. About 3 years ago I started getting hives? for no reason, varies times, can not match them to anything. Alot of times they bruise. I am severly sesitive to the sun. I also have sever fatigue and severe muscle pain. There are some days I cant get out of bed. My mother has fibromyalgia, which they won't even test me for because I cannot take anti-inflamatories. All they do is give me Darvocet.
My thryroid functions is low one day, normal the next.
Now I have started with a severly dry mouth and an annoying persistant cough. I have been on Allegra, Advair, Combivent, Albuterol, and DuoNeb for the past 2 months, the only thing that changed is that I got so hoarse I couldn't talk.
For a run down here are my symptoms:

muscle fatigue and pain
tiredness, fatigue
heavy bleeding
dry mouth
sensitive to sunlight
weight gain, inability to lose weight
hot flashes

please help, i up for any suggestions.

  • It could still be thyroid problems, with the tests showing normal. They need to test the free T3, to see if you are converting the t4 to t3. Lyme disease and coifnections have been linked to thyroid malfunction and Fibro{ and much, much more}. If you have Lyme, all the steriods have suppressed your immune system , thus other things showing up or getting worse. Here are two links to search, where hopefully you will find some answers. ~~Dee stopthethyroidmaddness.com and lymenet.org.
