I am 35 years old male suffering from Essential
Hypertension since last 3+ years. My lipid
profile, serum creatanine, urine, 3d eco, ECG, VMA etc. tests are normal and I am on following drugs
Nicardia CD30MG ( Morning 8am)
Vazortan-H (Afternoon after lunch)
Since I used to feel giddiness/vertigo my doctor
thought of this being related to drugs induced
vertigo and changed the drugs as given below
Olmezist-H20 (Olmesaratan) in the morning at 8AM
Neuribion Post Lunch
Nicardia CD 30 in the evening at 8PM
However, these changes didn't have any significant
effects and I still feel vertigo esp. while walking
and sitting. Due to which I am not able to
concentrate on work.
Since last 6+ months I started getting little pain in my neck, shoulders, head and eyes...the pain in not a
severe one but disturbs my daily routine, this
usually starts in the morning and last throughout the day.
Most of the time I carry a heavy bag on my right
shoulders the approx. weight would be around 3.25kg.
So far I have tried the following
Tried sleeping without pillow
Tried neck exercises.
Avoided carrying the bag, the feeling still persists
Tried taking Vertin 8mg tablets for a period of 2
months or so.
I usually sleep for around 7 hours during weekdays
and for around 9 hours on weekends/holidays. The
vertigo feeling is present even on holidays
I do not have any sleep related problems still I
tried taking alzolam .25 gms for a period of 10 days but the vertigo feeling is still present.
I have checked eye pressure etc. and there is no
damage to my eyes/vision due to hypertension.
My diet is non vegetarian and for around 2-4 times
in a month I do consume approx. 100ml of alcohol(whisky). Some years back I was heavy on tobacco usages. Now I do not chew/smoke tobacco.
I have checked my blood pressure many times even during vertigo feeling and it is usually 130/85 (while on drugs).
As mentioned above, the vertigo feeling is not very
severe but this disturbs my daily routine and I am
not able to concentrate on work. I will really
appreciate your suggestions and guidence in this regards. Kindly guide me to over-come the above mentioned problem.
