I have had re occuring vaginal sores for a few years now, i have only had one sexual partner in this time and he does not have the same symptons, if it were herpes, would he not also have it? The sores occur every few months in the same 2 areas, just above my cliterous and on the left side of my vagina on the skin on the outside. The skin is angry and looks liek it has been rubbed with something abbresive that has taken the top layer of skin off, after 6 or7 days this goes away but in one area it sometimes turns into a yellow spot that needs to be popped. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

  • men do not show the symptoms of genital herpes as easily as women do, and could possibly show no symptoms at all for several years or longer.

  • If your partner doesn't have any sores, that doesn't mean he hasn't got the disease, this disease comes in "outbreaks" and some men have no symptoms at all. You should go to your ob and get tested anyways, to see what it really is.
