Last January I was diagnosed with Mononucleosis. I was extremely tired and had an extremely large swollen gland in my groin. I feared the lump was something serious but it turned out it was only mono. Around the same time, I noticed that I had excess vaginal discharge but there did not seem to be anything wrong with it. Eventually the mono went away but the vaginal wetness did not. It has completely impaired my ability to have sex as there is way too much wetness to enjoy anything. I have no itching, no burning and I have been tested and have no STD's. I don't know if this is linked to the mono or not but I had never had any problems before this. PLEASE HELP as no doctor seems to have any idea why I have this. Its affected my entire life as I am constantly depressed about my sex life being ruined. Also, just recently I have had extremely swollen glands in my throat not accompanied by any cold or anything. And throughout this year, I have also had a skin fungus on my arms and in my mouth. I assume these have been due to my weakened immune system because of the mono but its the other thing that worries me the most as it effects me so much. I am obsessed over figuring this out and can't get any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know about the vaginal discharge but it worries me because as of yesterday I think I have mono and I have the discharge problem (not to the same extent). For me it could be pregnancy I suppose, but anyways, I know that Mono can be misdiagnosed for DLBCNHL (a type of cancer), and also the symptoms are all the same for pregnancy. You could have some kind of vaginal fungal infection, since you have it in other places, but I'm sure you've been tested for that too...I hope all works out.

  • I'm not sure about the symptom lasting so long, but I was just diagnosed with mono and am having the same wetness...I sure hope it doesnt last, but I was told symptoms can last for months and can reoccur for years, since the virus will be in one's body forever.
