Hey am 21 years old and i started having sex when i was 20, however, lately i have been faced with an uncomfortable problem. Here is it, whenever am seated or settled i tend to smell this uncomfortable scent from my private part area, however, if i do wipe my private part it does not have a fuunny scent, secondly we know that girls have this creamish liquid passing from us(please correct me if am wrong) but this creamish substance does not have a funny scent either, i just tend to be smellin this foul scent that am uncomfortable with. how can i get rid of it? and what may have been the cause of it so i would refrain or prevent?

Please help

  • That cream substance, I am guessing you are talking about ovulation. Does this happen all the time, or is it only at certain times of the month? During ovulation you will notice a discharge. As far as the foul scent. Are there any other symptoms?

  • Try not to worry too much!If you are very itchy 'down there' and your vaginal discharge is very thick, yellow in colour and foul smelling then you may have thrush. Do not fret! It's perfectly normal. You can pick up many different treatments for it at the chemist but your pharmacist will recommend you speak to your doctor first if you've never suffered with thrush before. If you do not have these symtoms then this may be helpful = Make sure you wash your underneath in the morning and evening with warm water and a mild unperfumed, fragrance free soap. Wear cotton underwear (no nylon g-strings because they'll make you sweaty and smelly downstairs) You can also buy feminine wipes to use during the day to make you feel "fresh."Hope this helps!Nx

  • If you had unprotected sex (which you should NOT EVER - use a condom) see your doctor. You may have an STD which can cause cancer or sterilization in the future. If you had protection you may just have a yeast infection which you will need to see your doctor for medication. No matter what your sex partner says, use a condom for your life protection.

  • I do have unprotected sex because mostly evry condom i have use has an effect on me. however can u describe the Std part what bout it is it cureable and how can it really affect mme? secondly the foul scent is jus a scenti smell my vagina does not have the scent but i do smell something uncomfortable, also someone said to me it can be that my partner isnt circumcised and if he does not wash regularly like before we have sex that might cause a scent is it true? also washing down there i have also realised that irish Spring soap itches me and thats the only itch i really do have. I dont have any itchin for me to be actually scaatchin to it.

  • This URL on Bacterial Vaginosis will probably answer most of your questions: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/b/bacterial_vaginosis/intro.htm You may also find that using a colloidal silver/aloe gel as a lubricant will be helpful.

  • sometimes the simplest solution is the correct one...you can purchase the over the counter vaginal gel called rephresh. its odor free, color free...and will help keep your vaginal ph on a healthy level.

  • "but this creamish substance does not have a funny scent either" " if i do wipe my private part it does not have a fuunny scent" im actually wondering from your post if you are just noticing the normal odour that females do have esp if sex has been thought about .. seeing you say your actual secretions themselves dont smell. I can at times notice that myself if im just sitting about...but it's a natural odour (not really foul but just different if you dont know the scent). One does secrete from the vagina esp leading up to ovulation and during ovulation. The natural secretions may in fact be white or yellowish white.. but at ovulation they go the consistancy of egg yolk or runny. A natural dischange will be different at different times of the month, varying with your cycle. If you have a dischange which is always there and consistant.. there may be a problem. If there is a lot of discharge and you are sore and itchy.. you may have thrush. Thrush is very common and most females get it at some point of their lives. It often occurs due to an imbalance of the Ph of the vagine and also if one is pregnant or taking antibiotics or just due to other facts. Thrush can smell horrid. If you think you have thrush.. just get some stuff for it at the chemist. Can get it over the counter. If it is that.. you will notice it improves with treatment. (and avoid having sex while you are treating it).

  • One thing I have noticed is that some partners semen makes me smell and some do not. I think it has to do with the PH balance as some one suggested. To try have your partner withdraw before he comes. I have had other friends say the same thing. Either the semen smells good when it comes out of me or it smells like something is rotting, sickly sweet. Good luck. P.S. My husband of over twenty years has had to use withdrawal or I would get a smell. Other previous lovers made my discharge smell good and some made it smell bad Do get checked but this has worked for me.

  • I am sensitive to latex as well, and can use Lambskin condoms. Dont ever ever ever have unptotected sex! Imagine contracting a disease or STD that you could never get rid of, the rest of your life. Dont say it wont happen to you because it can-it did to me. PLease heed this advice. As for the foul odour, go to your dr. make sure to get a pap once a year, and be safe.

  • You get really bad advise here; both you and boyfriend should be tested for all STDs and treated at same time if one is found.
