On Sunday I was hit really ******n my pelvis by my surfboard; I didnt think anything of it and was still able to walk. On Monday, however, I had blood (similar to as if I had gotten my period). It has now continued for all of today. I am not supposed to get my period for another 3 weeks and have not had any abnormal periods for over a year because of the strength of birth control I am on. I have not recently had sex either.

Do I have some sort of internal bleeding? Is it serious?

  • Surf on over to your gyn's office pronto. Trauma to the abdomen can be tricky to diagnose. Your blunt trauma injury was probably similar to seatbelt injuries unless it was the pointy end, which could have greater blunt force impact. Obviously something tore the lining of the uterus or worse.
