Ok, I'm having pain when urinating and there is no discharge, however the tip of my penis is red.

  • I recommend going to a doctor and getting this checked out. Could be many things: UTI, STD, prostate... DOM

  • Well, the doctor has informed me that the preliminary test is nonbacterial however, I went from ciprofloxacin to doxycycline since the symptoms were not going away. I still have pain upon urination and no discharge. I have been getting headaches and I never get those (rarely).

That makes me so mad!! If it is "nonbacterial" then why on earth are they still giving your antibiotics - this is ridiculous...it could very well be viral. Please get tested for viral based STD's like Herpes...I have no doubt Monsterlove will concur! DOM

  • Herpes... Ok (deep breathe). No cure and I'm sure it has a host of other issues. I'll have to reference Wikipedia and take another deep breathe.Brett

  • Regarding herpes, it doesn't seem likely considering my symptoms. Maybe, a different virus. Currently, if things don't improve, I'm going to a specialist. Any suggestions?B

  • You can get a blood test to rule out herpes 2 and other viruses. You have to demand to be tested. Then you'll know it's not a virus and be back at round 1...but then you'll know. If it is herpes, it's not a life ending disease.
