For the past week I've been having a wierd tingling sensation when I urinate. It's not painful, but it makes it hard to go. I noticed today that there is also a very visible amount of blood. Any ideas what this could be?

  • Sounds like you have blood in your urine.

Any ideas what this could be? Not sure if you are a guy or a girl. Urethritis, urinary tract infection...if you are a guy....prostatitis, perhaps. Also if you are a guy....is there blood when you....produce sperm? Either sex: kidney or bladder stone. If you see blood, as in bright red, or if your urine looks the shade coffee, tea that usually means blood. Blood in the urine can be microscopic as well and you might not notice. Any other symptoms? Please go get this checked out, soon. My neighbor had bladder cancer and this was his only warning sign....that he noticed. You need to call a Dr. to get a urinalysis immediately. It could be so many things. Blood in your urine or rather, loss of blood through your urinary tract can also cause anemia.

  • Small kidney stones (gravel) might be the cause.

  • Definitely see a doctor, they will try to rule out infection first, with Cipro. If that doesn't clear up the blood and tingling then they will want to look at your kidneys, with CT and possibly cytoscopy. How old are you? Do you smoke? M or F? All of these details are always important with guessing a diagnosis at any time.
