I have yet to have a Dr. find what is the cause of my urine retention.
The initial symptom was recurrant UTIs which led me to the Urologist.
He immediately discovered that I was not emptying my bladder.
He then did some testing and found no visible cause. I am very young(36)
for the problem. He ordered a retraining and self cathing. I do not have any more UTI's due to cathing. The problem ceased for a period of a couple months, then returned. In the mean time I was referred to a Neurologist for the bladder symptoms, muscle twitching, slight tremmor in hips, and heavy arms and legs. Two MRI's negative, lumbar puncture negative. Now I am to receive an EEG due to a period of being lost and a recent episode of my jaw closing suddenly during sleep. Other than being labeled crazy the neurlogist is stumped. He has mentioned MS but has now ruled it out due to the negative lumbar puncture. He did find on one visit an eye symptom of brightness difference. Does anyone have any other sugestions or another approach I might take? I have not had any tests for weakness but I do sense tiredness in my arms and legs (going down stairs, raising my arms). I have also had some strange taste changes (can't taste broccoli, metal taste).
