upper lip swelling near gums

Please help me. i have been trying to find the answer to this extremely painful problem in my mouth now for days.i have very significant swelling in the inside of my upper lip right above the gums.Sometimes i get throbbing in my teeth but i do not think it's an absse. if you know what this is or what i can do please help me

  • Is there a lesion or just swelling? Is there a burning sharp pain?it could be a cold sore that is just starting - some people notice the presymptoms a lot before the actual sore starts
