Since August of '09 I began having problems wherein I would get pressure and burning mostly in the left side of my upper abdomen, in the center of my chest and in between my shoulder blades. Since August it has gotten progressively worse where the pressure is so extreme that most of the day I feel like I can not breathe or at least take a deep breath and the burning comes and goes throughout the day. I had an endoscope done in September which showed a hernia and gastritis and also in September I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder in addition to a hydascan and they said everything looked fine there. I continued to have pain so someone suggested a chiropractor to see if it was an issue with my back, he felt I had a pinched nerve in my neck and treated me with respect to that diagnosis and most of the adjustments and treatment focused primarily on my neck. In the meantime my regular doctor did an abdominal CT scan on me as I continued to have this pain, she said there were no masses nor abnormalities noted. The chiropractor then ordered an MRI of my head and neck and the results of that were no pinched nerve in the neck and only a slightly protruding disc on the right side of the neck which my doctor stated would not be causing any of my symptoms. To make sure that nothing was going on with my heart I received a full cardiac workup in which the resting portion I failed so the cardiologit performed a heartcath just to be on the safe side and everything looked fine no blockages, per the cardiologist. I recently began seeing a different gastro doctor who performed a second endoscope and reconfirmed the hernia and added that I have several erosions in my stomach. I am at a complete loss as they have tried me on four different medications for my stomach but the pain just stays there every day constant, extreme pressure mostly on the upper left side of the body but sometimes all throughout my upper body including upper abdomen, chest and in between shoulder blades and I now have been experiencing headaches to go along with all of the other bizarre symptoms. I don't know how to continue on like this everyday but don't have much of an option right now and at this point my trust is in the Lord and not in the doctors but if there is anyone out there that has had similar symptoms and/or problems any advice as to what your diagnosis was and how they treated you to alleviate the pain would be graciously appreciated.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
