My mom had aneurism surgery 12 years ago and they had to remove one of her ribs. She now has periods of extreme pain in this area of the upper back. We've seen several doctors - gp, ortho, and pain dr. No one has found anything, they just offer pain pills and physical therapy - physical therapy has done nothing to help. She gets very depressed when her back keeps her from doing anything but resting. She is 85 and in relatively good health. Does anyone have any ideas or what other kind of dr. she could see?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
