I'm 21 years old (female) and have been experiencing a host of unexplained symptoms for almost 3 years. I have been diagnosed with fibromayalgia/fatigue by an internist, but doubt this diagnosis because I do not have the tender spots or muscle and joint pain. I have had tones of blood work done and a chest xray. Everything has come back normal and my immune system is in perfect condition. I am waiting for an appointment with a neurologist.
I am not working and am taking a light course load at university because this pain and exhaustion is preventing me from living a full life. I feel like I am the only one going through these symptoms and would love to hear from anyone with any ideas or a similar story. Please help!!
-Fatigue, forgetfulness, cloudy-headedness. When symptoms are especially bad, I can't think straight. I can read a few words on paper and immediately forget what I had just read. Things I think, say, and write come out jumbled.
-Random sharp shooting pains, random stabbing pains, random tingling, random burning sensations on my skin, random tickling sensations, random pinprick sensations that feel like I'm being stabbed with a needle, random thinner but sharper shooting pains that feel like a pinched nerve, random duller aching/almost a tight feeling that affect a small patch of my body at a time... all these pains last only a few seconds, are constantly moving around, and happen all over my body from head to toe.
-Lower back pain/tightness
-Shooting pains that go up and down my spine
-A tight, deep crushing pain in my torso, right under my rib cage where my diaphragm is, sometimes higher in my chest, sometimes in my back, sometimes wrapping around my whole torso and radiating down my legs and arms. This pain gets worse when I stand or walk.
-My legs feel heavy like bricks.
-Muscle tightness and stiffness
-Chronic mouth sores (negative for herpes)
All of my symptoms get worse with exercise.
