For the past 2 years or so, I have been getting recurrent yeast infections. I'm on low-dose birth control, have been frequently retested for diabetes and negative HIV. My primary care and my gyno cannot explain it, nor do they care to try. I switched to cotton underwear, shower after working out, and use unscented soap. About 3 months ago, I developed the worst itching on my vulva but not in my vagina. I had cultures taken b/c of my recurrent yeast, and EVERYTHING was negative, including yeast. I use vagisil atleast 3 times daily, and the itching is becoming unbearable. I paid insane money for the gyno, for him to tell me to use metronidazole vag. gel for itching of my vulva... BUT THERES NO BACTERIA FOUND!!! All it does is give me a yeast infection. I'm distressed and depressed. If anyone can relate please help!! This is driving me crazy! my symptoms are just intense itching of the top of my vulva (around clitoris and in folds above it) and insanity due to misdiagonsis!!!Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
