My wife is nursing our third child born about 6 weeks ago. She had a C-Section. She was on Augmentin - antibiotic for the first 8 days after the surgery. She had soreness in her breasts. She has been having a fever everyday for the past 4 weeks.
All tests done which include blood culture, Wydal, check for Malaria etc. Mastitis is not a problem. She is able to breast feed the baby. The baby is doing fine.
We even did a MRI to check if there is any collection of fluid anywhere. No problems found.
The doc says that she is reacting to suture material used during the surgery and that's why she may be getting a fever. She is not on any antibiotic now.

What could the possible causes of fever be in a nursing mother?

Please help.
