I have been suffering from constant dizziness/lightheadedness for almost 2 years now. It started with a head cold. I took antibiotics and ever since then i've had a constant feeling of dizziness. Sometimes it gets so bad I have to throw up. Most of the time I need to lay down. When its really bad lying down doesn't help much. I still feel as if I'm on a rocking boat.
My main symptoms are: dizziness, lightheaded, extreme fatigue, sometimes a near-syncope sensation.
CT scan and MRI are negative.
So far the doctors have only found mild hypertension however the lowering of my blood pressure hasn't alleviated the dizziness. So I don't think this is the cause. Another doctor suggested stress/anxiety so I tried Paxil, but this didn't help. So i've stopped it after 6 months.
I've been to ENT's, neurologists, cardiologists, etc etc. Still no diagnosis.
