Hi. I'm Sandra, and, I just joined the forum here. :) I was wondering if anyone can help me here. Around a month and a half ago, I began experiencing stomach cramps that especially bothered me when I laid on my stomach. I was taking Zinc at the time. My doctor said it could be from the Zinc, so, I stopped taking it. It seemed that the cramps gradually went away.
Roughly two weeks later, I begin experiencing a pain in the lower right quadrant of my abdomen. It's an aching pain. Then the cramping in my sides start up again, and then, on top of that, I was having lower back pain now! In addition to this, I was feeling nauseated. I've seen an OB/GYN, a GI, the family physician, I've been to the er twice, and the most that anyone can come up with is that I have a urinary tract infection, and, aside from that, nothing "appears" to be wrong. I'm about to start climbing the walls and foaming at the mouth here, I swear! Does this sound at all familiar to anyone on here?

  • Sandra, Have you gotten your issue resolved? I am having the same issues currently. It started as an infected diverticuli and now seems to have transferred to my kidney and bladder, but they cannot find anything. I am seeing a urologist next week. Sharon

Thanks for responding! Well, after getting a multitude of tests done, (including multiple blood tests, a CAT scan with and without contrast dye, a pelvic ultrasound as well as a kidney ultrasound), and being told by my GI doctor that it was just IBS, being told nothing could be found by two ER docs, and being told by an OB/GYN that he was possibly interested in doing a laparoscopy (NoWay!!), my physician gave me the findings from the CAT scan...She said it appears I could have some kidney stones in the right kidney, and perhaps even a cyst on the kidney as well. I'm supposed to be seeing her On Thursday-she'd better be able to give me something more certain to go on by then or I might have to pop her one!!! (Don't worry, I'm kidding.) But, really, this is very frustrating! Please let me know how your appointment with the urologist goes. Best of Luck to you, Sharon. :) :) -Sandy H.
