I have had two episodes in the past 4 months where I have been sitting in my office and all of a sudden my body temperature goes sky high.
Both times I felt a little dizzy but never lost consciousness.
The episodes come on suddenly last about a half hour after which my shirt is completely saturated. Both times my body temperature was back to normal in about 20 minutes to a half hour. 1st episode I was tested for all kinds of heart problems............all came back fine............stress test, blood enzymes, etc. I don't think I had any chest pain maybe a little tightness in my adominal area??...........any suggestions would be appreciated.

GERD??.........thyroid problems??.................

Thank you

  • Sounds similar to my symptoms ... doc's are totally baffled in my case, too. Last doc said it usually takes two or three visits to find rare problems. She was my fifth doctor ... lol. Ya got to laugh otherwise we'd be crying here.

  • Same here. Kansas U Me center - Dermatology had no Idea. They said try Endochronology - they were optomistic, got blood tests and return in 4 months. Have appointment with Mayo but that is also with Dermatology which is the department they said I should see when I called for appointment. Will call Monday and see if I should try Endochronology. I have had this excess sweating for long time, when it is even slightly warn and particularly when room is stuffy. It is really a problem. Sweat after every shower. Sometimes after coffee. When trying on clothes at a store. So mostly stay home as it makes me uncomfortable and other also. I'll try to reply if I ever find anything out.

  • I too been having what I call sweating "episodes". Mine last anywhere from 30 min to 1 hour. Been about 10 months now. At first Dr was trying to say it was pre menopause...I am 34 yr ol female. Well typically the normal "hot flashes" are at most about 8 min. if that. Do you have any other symptoms? I have noticed daily headaches and my blood pressure has been up. I had a kidney infection a little while ago and they took blood. My norpinephrien level came back extemely high. Thsi can be due to pheochromocytome...tumor on the adrenal gland. Had me do a 24 hour urine test and sending me to an Endo Dr. Main symptoms are : sweats, headache and raised blood pressure. GOOD LUCK
