I have been suffereing from a green discharge that is offensive smelling. Initially it was
bacterial vaginosis and was treated with metrnidazole. Two days later it recurred. I got tested again in case it was something else, there was no BV but had another course of metronidazole 7 days course. After nine weeks of suffering with this, I have more frequent pain in my lower abdomen. I got tested again as the doctors thought it could be something rare, maybe a rare form of BV. The swabs have been sent for microscopy cultre and sensitivity, for anitibiotics that may help. My pain is quiete bad and it seems like the doctors dont know what they are doing. I am trying a trial of clindamycin cream, not tried it yet.
Clinically, there is no evidence of any infection BV, TV, thrush etc. There are only pus cells, which can be normal in some women but the number of white cells in my swab were more than normal. On examination, initially there was no inflammation but now there is some and im worried about complication.
I was wondering if there is anything I can try, maybe something like chinese medicine, acupuncture, homeopathic medicne etc.If there is anyone who has had a similar experience please help me out. It was fraustrating.
