I have throat pain at the tongue base & tonsil area (right in the crease)
This pain raidiats to my upper mouth and jaw joint. I had a surgery in 2004 to remove a very large styloid. A physicain pushed on my neck and fliped it up into my esophogus. There was a visible bone behind the skin in my throat and it hurt really bad. I went to a specialist in PA and he surgically removed it. The pain is still prevelant - I do have a very red area right where the incision was...and there are "enflamed tonsils tags" as one physican told me...another said they look more like a cyst. It is to the point now the pain along with swelling of my neck & cheek. I have been kicked around by so many doctors....does anybody have a good web site where they show a visual pictures of the throat lessions so I can differentiate. I was told the doctors are trying to get referrals for me to go to Mayo Clinic...but the insurance companies have not permitted this...meanwhile...I am in pain....swelling...it is getting worse and the years keep going by while I go from ENt...to dr....to specialist....nobody can help me?
