Almost 3 years ago, I got vertigo for 2 weeks. Then diaharrea for a long time with fatigue, a lot of muscle pain. I saw an internest who thought I had addisons disease, but tests were inconclusive. I have food allergies, but am very careful about what i eat. I at the time lost 85lbs without trying, had pappitations. I showed to have low potassium which is straightened out. I feel like I am getting worse. I get very tired and weak, I still have muscle pain in my arms. My new symptoms are swollen lymph nodes in my right armpit. It showed 2 swollen in an ultra sound. In August I got a bad side ache and thought appendix, but doctor said no. Since then at very top of right leg it feels like something is poking me. It causes a burning pain into my hip and buttock and pain in my leg. Also, my index finger on right hand hurts and my large right toe. Everthing is on the right side. Sometimes the pain at top of leg will go into my side. Saw my doctor, she said I am a mystery. Saw a OB/GYN in case endometriosis came back, he says at my age you usually don't see it (age 48), but he suggests a hysterectomy. Somehow, I don't feel its my female area, but not certain. I feel like its Addisons as I have most symptoms including the dark spot on my lower back and I eat a lot of salt. I feel better when I eat salt and worse when I drink water. I also get dehydrated. Not sure where to turn, but need to do something. My husband is a parapalegic from an accident 5 years ago and I am his caregiver, so I need to ge better.

  • I was thinking of Addison's Disease before you mentioned it,but it is associated with a high potassium level. Was yours checked when you had the diarrhea?(that causes a low potassium). Also, has your blood sugar been checked to see if it's low(Another Sx of Addison's).I can't explain your right-sided pains, though. The one on your leg sounds like a nerve is being ''pinched.''Go to a good internist for an evaluation.

  • yes, low potassium was when I had diaharrea. Blood sugar is fine. I was thinking the leg may be swollen lymph nodes like my armpit. The doctor says she can't feel any there. thanks
