About 4 years ago I broke out in a rash under my arms, breasts and on the inside of my thighs. At the same time I felt a stabbing pain in my kidneys like someone was sticking an ice pick in them. The rash spread and I eventually went to the Dr. who treated the rash as poison ivy. The rash went away and several weeks later I got sick at work and went home. My symptons were like none I had experienced before. I felt like my system was crashing, like I was going to pass out. My heart rate was through the roof and my blood pressure was high although I don't have high blood pressure and I was nauseated. I was scared and went to the emergency room at the naval hospital. They told me my blood pressure was dangerously high and gave me something to bring it down. They took a urine sample which showed nothing and took a blood sample and sent me home. The next day I got a phone call that e coli was found in my system and that I needed to get there right away and pick up a prescription for antiobiotics. I started taking the antibiotics and felt fine until about 7 - 8 mos. later the same thing happened. I have done this every 6 - 9 months for the past 4 years but nothing has been found other than the first time. I was also told by one of the emergency room doctors that my first diagnosis of e coli was incorrect because that would cause extremely low blood pressure, not high like mine was. I moved from SC to KY last year and off and on have experienced bouts of high blood pressure, heart racing and went to a cardiologist who said it wasn't my heart. My thyroid has been checked and is fine. I have renal kidney failure that runs in my father's family so I've had tests run on my kidneys (ultra sound and 24 hour urine collection) which also came back fine except for a small kidney stone in my right kidney. I have had the same feeling for about a month off and on that my system is crashing (for lack of a better way to describe it), my heart racing so much that I can hear the blood rushing in my ears. My kidney's hurt and they hurt worse when I walk. I am now experiencing lower right abdominal pain and vaginal wall pain. I had my teeth cleaned the day before these sysmptoms got really bad and my doctor ran blood tests the last time I went to see him about 3 weeks ago to test for bacteria and the results were negative. I am experiencing this at night from time to time and I also experience nausea. If anyone can help lead me in the right direction with this I would really appreciate it. I haven't had the full blown rash since the first time I got it but the areas that had the rash itch like the rash is trying to come back - especially when it's time for my period.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
