My mother age 67 was suffering from headache since from Jan 2013. She went to local doctor, who has given some painkillers. After a week he referred us to ENT. ENT specialist gave her some medicines of cough and cold plus acidity medicines. But headache continued, so he advised us for neurologist. Then we went to neurologist. He advised for CT scan and Thyroid test in Feb 2013. We did it, reports were normal. So he gave some medicines. With these medicines she was not comfortable, headache continued. So she went to MBBS general physician in March 2013. He gave some tablets like vertin and pain killers. But no effect, then he advised us to meet orthopedic. Then we went to orthopedic, he suggested for neck Xray. We did it, it was normal, again he gave some painkillers. But still headache was there, she was having feeling of vomiting, her diet was reduced and she became very weak. On 19th April 2013 we admitted her in hospital because her headache was continued and she was unable to walk as she was very weak. On 20th April her headache was severe. Doctor took her for MRI1.5 test. Because of severe pain she was not stable and radiologist was not able to take images, so he called anesthesia specialist. After anesthesia they took the images but after 3 hours she has a seizure and immediately she has been shifted to ICU. She was unconscious for 24 hours. After that she opened the eyes but she was unable to recognize the persons and she was continuously speaking some irrelevant matter. We shocked. Till then MRI report came, but radiologist said report is abnormal. But he is unable to find the abnormality. Then neurologists came they also said its challenging and difficult case. Finally they draw the conclusion that her sodium level is down (119). They started sodium correction. For 2 days there was no improvement in her condition. After 2 days little improvement was there, that she started recognizing us. From ICU she shifted to room. And now she shifted to home, but her diet intake is very poor, delirium is there and she can not stand, walk herself. She vomits diet. Doctor is not giving any remedies over this. We went to big hospital also. There also doctor is not giving answer. What can be the problem? Every doctor says, case is difficult and complicated. But what is the complication? and what is the difficulty? no one is answering.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
