So I had an unprotected sexual experience about 5 days ago and now I'm suffering from a couple of minor symptoms that happen to be plagueing me!

The worst of them is vaginal dryness...this is just not at all like me...I usually have quite the opposite problem when it comes to this sort of thing. I believe the dryness is the most basic underlying cause for my other discomfort which includes minor itching and irritation.

I've done a little research on this...since it's quite new to me...and have found that most women who experience this problem are post menopausal...which isn't the case for me...I'm still in my early twenties!

I guess I'm being kinda paranoid about all of this...but I don't have health insurance right now and it's making me worry even more that if I do have a serious problem I might be living with it for a while! I just hope to hear from some other women who have had a similar experience...because peace of mind can really work wonders on me!

If any of you have had this same problem after a sexual encounter with a new partner...please divulge your experience to me...I'm totally psyching myself out right now!

Oh, another thing that I should mention is that I have tried to use a couple of lubricants thinking that might help soothe the irritation being caused by friction...and for some reason it felt like I lit myself on fire down there...what is up with that??

  • Hi,If the feelings started slowly, but within a day (or less) of the intercourse, he might have just given you a yeast infection. Look up vaginal yeast infection, and see if that fits your concerns.
